Chandigarh: Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah will visit Punjab on March 14, where he is scheduled to address a major rally in Moga. The event is set to mark the formal launch of the BJP’s campaign for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
According to media reports, preparations for the rally are already underway.
Punjab BJP working president Ashwani Sharma confirmed that the party will organise the rally under the slogan “Aao Miljul Kar Badlein Punjab, Sukhi Rahe Hamara Punjab.”
Political timing
The rally comes just days before the current Punjab government completes four years in office on March 16, 2026.
Ashwani Sharma said that when the four-year tenure is politically assessed, it will be remembered as a “tragedy for Punjab,” alleging that voters feel betrayed.
The BJP is expected to use the Moga rally to outline its roadmap for Punjab and energise party workers ahead of the 2027 Assembly polls.
