Chandigarh: Punjab Police has registered an FIR in connection with the alleged suicide of a Punjab Warehousing Corporation district manager, with the case bringing fresh political focus on former minister Laljit Singh Bhullar.
According to the FIR registered at Ranjit Avenue police station in Amritsar, the case has been filed under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including provisions related to abetment and criminal acts. The FIR states that the incident took place on March 21, 2026, and includes claims made by the complainant regarding mental distress faced by the deceased. Police sources said further investigation is underway and statements of concerned individuals are being recorded.
